Positve Path Recovery is based on the following principles:

1) Admit that the substance has taken control and commit to a path of recovery.
2) Redefine and rebuild the sense of self. (The true self)
3) Take responsibility and accept forgiveness for past actions.
4) Learn to identify and express feelings.

5) Improve communication with others.
6) Restore connection with significant people and make connection with others who can support recovery.
7) Identify barriers to recovery and plan to overcome them.
8) Let go!
